HOISTING DEVICE SAFETY

When you plan setting in conformity hoisting devices, you directly think about the installation of load limitation equipment on production or expedition overhead cranes, harbour cranes… Anyway, it goes about tens of tons and large investments. Everybody considers, and it is true, that smaller hoisting devices don't require such huge investments.

However, they can be as dangerous as the others when they are being used above their nominal capacities. In order to allow securing those overhead cranes with nominal capacities below 20 tons, Sensor and Synergy proposes a range of basic systems "load cell - load limiter" at very attractive price level. For a limited investment, you have now the possibility to assure the safety of all your small and medium capacity hoisting devices.

Load cells :

a) The load pins

A full range of standard (readily available) or custom-made load pins, for which single end or double (shear) axles are proposed. SENSY’S axles are available in various possible configurations : provided with grease holes (for lubrication purposes), double Wheatstone bridge, (redundant execution) material and testing certification, ultrasonic testing, EEx ia IIC T6 execution, integrated electronics 0 – 10 Volts, 4-20 mA, or RS 232 and RS 485. High temperature, radio-active environment resistance... (all those options are available on all the other load cells as well) This solution offers the possibility to replace existing axles or shafts on a crane by a force measuring load pin. Therefore no mechanical change or reduction of lifting height, has to be anticipated.

b) The load cells on cable

The most qualitative and economical solution is the load cell "on cable". This solution is really the most effective one. Installation time is reduced to a minimum. Only two screws are to be positioned with one electronic load limiter MARK "E" (as described on this site). Thhs presents the most economical solution based on a flexible and reliable technology.

c) The tension load cells

If a higher level of accuracy is required and the relative "loss" of lifting height is acceptable, these tension load cells are definitively the most optimum solution for you.

d) The other load cells

Wedge sockets, connections, integrated solution, annular, compression load cells, there is almost no limit for answering or solving your problem.
